How All-in Cash Out Works on PokerStars

PokerStars.be All-in Cash Out gives eligible cash-game players a choice in certain all-in spots. Once no further action is possible, you can either take a risk-free offered amount immediately or let the hand run to its normal result.

If you accept the cash-out, the offered amount goes straight into your stack, but you give up any right to win the main pot or any side pots in that hand.

What All-in Cash Out is

All-in Cash Out is a cash-game feature. It offers an alternative to waiting for the usual showdown result after the money has gone in.

Instead of riding out the hand, you can lock in an offered amount there and then. This feature is designed to reduce risk and secure the value of the hand at that point.

When the option appears

The option appears in an all-in situation where no further action is possible.

Your choice in that all-in spot

When All-in Cash Out appears, you have two options:

  • take the offered amount and end your interest in the pot;
  • continue the hand as normal and wait for the standard outcome.

What happens if you accept the cash-out

  • The offered amount is added to your stack immediately.
  • You can no longer win the main pot.
  • You can no longer win any side pots.

How All-in Cash Out changes the risk of the hand

All-in Cash Out changes an all-in from a pure showdown sweat into a choice between certainty and variance. Taking the offer reduces risk because you lock in a set amount straight away.

Letting the hand continue keeps your claim on the pot alive. Accepting the offer removes that upside in exchange for immediate value in your stack.

This should in my opinion only be used in desperate situations when your odds are below 10% on the turn or river.
